Introductory Certificate in Logistics and Transport

Introductory Certificate in Logistics and Transport is intended for those who are new to the logistics and transport industry and are starting out in a career in procurement, warehousing and inventory control or production planning.

​Contents 
The course is made up of eight units, of which you must complete four. There are two compulsory units and two elective units.
Compulsory units:
1.Intro to Logistics
2.Intro to Customer Services and Marketing
Electives:

• Intro to Freight Transport Services,
• Intro to Passenger Transport Services,
• Intro to Warehousing and Inventory,
• Intro to Purchasing,
• Intro to Planning and Operations of Freight Transport,
• Intro to Planning and Operations of Passenger Transport.
  
  

​Programs 
All participants must take and pass a written examination in the two mandatory units and two optional units. Each unit will be assessed by means of a 30-question examination paper. The exams will comprise a selection of multiple-choice questions and short answer questions requiring an answer in the form of short sentences or a simple calculation. The examination will be of 1 hour’s duration. All examinations are closed book and the pass mark for each examination will be 50%.

Prerequisites
